The Option 11C can have up to a total of 5 cabinets (when using fiber or ethernet expansion), each cabinet having 10 card slots for peripheral equipment. [edit] Expansion Cabinets[edit] Copper Expansion CabinetThe original expansion cabinet for the Option 11 system was the NTAK12 cabinet. Using a copper expansion, the system is limited to two total cabinets (one main, one expansion) [edit] Fiber And Ethernet Expansion CabinetWhen fiber or ethernet expansions are used, the NTAK11 cabinet (identical to the main cabinet) is used for expansions. With fiber and ethernet, the total number of cabinets in the system becomes 5.
