Creating a TTY Port

A TTY, is a port in the PBX that allows you to manage or retrieve data.

TTY's are created for specific purposes such as ACD printer port, Creating Psuedo ports for ethernet connections etc...

PBX Programming Procedures

Create a New TTY

TTY's are created in LD 17

Sample PBX I/O:

REQ: CHG

TYPE: ADAN

FEATURE: xxx TTY xx  (xxx is New or OUT or Change , xx IS the TTY number)

Print an Existing TTY

TTY's are printed in LD 22

Sample PBX I/O:

>LD 22

REQ  PRT
TYPE ADAN TTY (optionally you can enter a TTY number here, or CR to see all of them)

Notes

  • When a TTY port configuration is changed, it must be disabled and re-enabled in LD 37.
  • TTY Ports can be disabled/enabled from a Maintenance Set.
