Overview

Nortel PBX (Meridian/CS1000) systems can be divided into multiple "Customers", each with their own independent dial-plan and resources.

Common Configuration

The most common configuration of a Nortel PBX is to have only one Customer with the lowest possible value of zero (0).

This leads to the common, although technically incorrect, saying:

  • The customer is always zero.

Defining a Customer

A customer, or customer number, is defined by building a Customer Data Block in Overlay 15.

Viewing Customer Information

A Customer Data Block is printed from Overlay 21. If no CUST is specified, then all customers within the PBX database will be printed.
