depends on the tdm or voip!

In thought we use TDM to IP gateways in our offices for cross country DSL connectivity. The product is NORCO, rather inexpensive and quite reliable.

You have one 4 port at each side linked over your WAN. They have two analog port types where you connect a CO Line up to the FXO port at Site A and as an FXS at Site B where you connect an analog station. Site A selects the CO Line and receives dial tone from Site B, then dialing the Site B extension completes the call through your network. You would setup 2 ports as FXO's and 2 ports as FXS' at each end so you can inter-office dial each other. This would basically connect the two systems together, however, you would be limited. You would not see each others extension or names, no centralized voicemail would be supported, etc.

If your friend is truly interested, your friend should consider an upgrade!
You would bes consult the panasonic forum for better support in this product line.

RE: VOIP

Hey Teltek,
Great idea, how has the quality been on your set up and what size DSL connections are you using?

Call server details -Alcatel OmniPCX Enterprise

Quality is quite good considering the transport; 3Mb business ADSL, but again remember the level of service you purchase, the additional types of overal traffic and your wan routers truly determine the outcome.

the link to their site is http://www.norcocommunications.com
