Location: Dallas Rep Power: 7 ![]() | Panasonic DBS IP Address STS call recording is not silent. If silence timer expires due to pause in conversation VM comes on line like you just left mesg in mailbox, Vodavi has no fix other than going up to Dispatch. So much for silent record feature. Any one know a way around this. Replacing with Panasonic if not. Will be my last STS.

Rep Power: 7 ![]() | unclear on the concept i just installed sts and an in-skin with trunks that came off of a channel bank and my problem is something similar and there is no fix for it right now. the problem is, calls come in and when the caller gets a mailbox greeting if they hang up it records the silent dead air and sends it as a new message. hogging up the flash memory!! bad thing!! the sts is not seeing the disconnect fast enough and the local vendor can't send it any faster. vodavi tech support is supposed to talk to software engineers and get back to me.

Location: Paoli, PA Rep Power: 7 ![]() | I assume that Vodavi had you check Program 40 Page A Button 6. It is the Co disconnect timer. THe lower the setting the the Less time the system has to see an open from the channel bank. I had one system that needen to be set to 1 ms. Make sure you are actually getting a Disconnect signal. An easy way to check without relying on the phone system is to hook up you toner to the tip and ring with the toner turned off. The polarity light should be green. Then call in from a cell phone or on you buttset and answer on a system phone. Then Hang up fron the outsine (Cell or buttset ) and stay on the line on the vodavi phone. You should see the light turn off on the toner (THE OPEN THAT THE PHONE SYSTEM IS LOOKING FOR) then turn back on again. You can buy testers to measure how long that open interval is in Milliseconds. Your setting in the phone system has to be lower that the legnth of time that that open is. Obviously 1 is the lowest you can go so if anything works 1 will, tuy if you have a flaky line and it get a 1ms inturruption you will get disconnected. Don P.S. Please post back your replies from vodavi. I have a system that acts up too that i had to set all of the lines to 1ms and would like to know thier input
