Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Microsoft Office Communication Server integration Greetings all, I have been asked if I can 'integrate' microsoft OCS with a Vodavi Telenium IP (screen popping, click to call, setting forwarding rules, other miscellaneous TAPI features, etc). I've had some difficulty in obtaining specific information on how exactly OCS 'integrates', and what level of 'integration' they mean - it's been my experience that one person's definition of 'integration' often differs to mine.. From what I understand so far, OCS 'integrates' by using SIP trunks into the OCS server, and CSTA/TAPI to the PBX. Setting up the telenium for TAPI shouldn't be a major issue, however SIP interfaces could be tricky; Vodavi appear to take a rather negative view to SIP, H323, and pretty much any other global standard where they can't 'clip the ticket' on sales of new phones/equipment. Has anyone had any experience integrating OCS with any of the Vodavi systems, or know where I could find some solid documentation on the process? I'll post my progress on this thread to aid anyone else who may need to do this in the future.

Rep Power: 8 ![]() | I don't have a clue. But my first call would be to Vodavi tech support. If you are selling the Telenium you are obviously a distributor. Post back and let us know what you find out. You may be a first. __________________ Two snips, a snort, a turn, a fly, and a grunt, and it was so simple, like the jitterbug, it plum evaded me!

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | calling tech support was the first thing I did, however they have had no experience with integrating OCS either As things progress, I will continue to post replies on this thread - hopefully it will save others headaches if/when they are asked to do this themselves. The client is after some pretty fancy stuff; we plan on installing an asterisk SIP server also, and using this to register Nokia N-95 mobile phones (they have inbuilt wifi capability and a SIP client). The end result is going to *hopefully* be a situation where if the SIP extension cannot be reached, the extension will be diverted to the user's mobile until the SIP station can be reached once again. Also, Callista call accounting software, and 'CyTrack'; a brand of call queueing software that is quite popular here in New Zealand. As far as I've been made aware, doing this sort of stuff is fairly commonplace with brands such as Nortel, CCM and Avaya.. Is this the case? Do we Telenium people simply attract clients who never seem to want to do flash stuff, or have I just been sucked in by the above mentioned brands' viral marketing?
