Unhappy Site to Site Networking XTS to DVX+IV

Does anyone have any PRI Networking between an XTS to the DVX+IV systems? We have a few multi-site voice networks using the XTS & DVX+IV combinations and mostly they work great. OF course here comes my...HOWEVER!!

We do have one particular multiple site network where the Main Hub is an XTS and the 4 node sites are the Infinite DVX+IV. We have been having the notorious, intermittant dropping of inbound "Carrier Loss" situation, and yet the carrier says it is not their fault first off. That is another story. What does still seem to be something happening on the phone system end is it seems when the PRI card detects carrier loss, the PRI connector on the front of the card then has to be physically removed and reconnected again to get it back to working, even after carrier service has returned from the service provider.

Vodavi is working diligently on this with us, but I am still confused why a physical reconnect of the PRI connector has to happen when carrier loss returns. Has anyone else using Vodavi PRI's on a DVX+IV or XTS had this problem? Am I missing something here and maybe somebody else has found this and knows how to fix this.

We have done the obvious: swap cards, upgrade software, change cables & connectors, change CSU's, bring circuits in on different feed pairs and similar common process of elimination steps. We have switched carriers, due to the continuous dropping of connection, and still the same thing. It does seem to have two parts to this problem, the intermittant carrier loss & the need to physically reset at the card side.

I still tend to think there is something happening on the service providers end, since we show carrier loss in our error logs, but the physically having to remove the PRI connector and reconnect it everytime carrier loss has occured & returns just does not seem right.

Any ideas are greatly appreciated. Any thoughts?....Ideas???

Thanks,
ThePhoneLady!!
