Strata DK280 help

I have a strata dk208 on site with 3 cabinets. My problem is one of our users' extension is set up as some sort of "backup extension" to the receptionist phone. So when the receptionist's phone is busy or something the incoming call gets redirected to the other user's extension. This is filling up this user's voicemail box with hundreds of hang up messages due to people calling into the company and hanging up right when the voicemail starts recording. Does anyone know how to change the backup extension or preferably delete it so there is no backup extension?

Thanks,

Tux

There are various ways of achieving this, call forwards or delay ringing options within the programming. The call forward should be displayed on the reception extn "cf/BNA" or similar.
If its done through programming check out program 72/73 or 82/83 depending upon the type of lines you have.

Well the call forwarding is set to forward calls to the voicemail system. I did find something about "overflow calls" in program 58-5 I think it was. I changed that to point to a voicemail port. I don't know if this will work but I'm hoping for the best.

If by WOC you mean Windows Operator Console then no. I do all my programming on the programmer's phone unfortunately.

program 58 relates to a WOC that's all mate! Programs 82,83,85,86,88,89 (for analogue trunks) and 72,73, (for digital trunks) are the delay ringing programs which are most likely to be set. Find the back up users port number and check the above programs.

Cheers
