Rep Power: 39 ![]() | Ok, I normally do Nortel and I have a guy who said he can replace the voice mail in a Toshiba DK40. The customer bought the voice mail and the guy installed the card in the cabinet. Know he said he needs the software to be able to set it up and program. I bought the software, but it doesn't make any reference to this voice mail. The software says it is Startagy ES Administration software. Is this the correct stuff? If not what do I need? If theis is the correct software, can someone PM me the Log in Info for a new install? ![]()

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | You don't mention which voicemail was purchased, but my initial thought is you may have a few issues here! The DK40i can support a couple of different types of voicemail. Either a Stratagy Flash (which is a grey externally mounted box that is connected via analogue ports), or a Stratagy DK Inskin (Which is a white fronted card with a Status LED and 8 'port' LED's on the front which will be installed in the expansion cabinet on the left hand side of the system... and it says Stratagy on it too). If it says iES on the front, i'm afraid you (or the customer) has wasted their money on the wrong product. The admin software you will require if you have the Stratagy Flash or Inskin is available for various software levels. You need to match the admin version to the voicemail version to avoid corruption of the database. Though the latest software encompasses all but the oldest software level. Oh, and the programming lead is NOT a normal lead. You either need to buy one from a Toshiba dealer (this isn't cheap!)... or make one up yourself. It's not rocket science to program one up once you have these, but it's not exactly straight forward either if you don't work on them as a rule. I would highly recommend biting the bullet (once you know you have the correct type) and paying a reputable dealer to carry out the work. It will take around 2-6 hrs depending on what is required, so shouldn't cost the earth. If you need more info, drop me a message

Location: lake charles, LA Rep Power: 0 ![]() | the dk 40 will work with MANY external v/m's and the inskin v/m which r the dk card, compact flash, and ivp8. so like cabledude said you 1st need to find out which of these you have. if its a toshiba v/m u will need the uadmin 2.1 software for it (i think 2.1 was the latest release. as all dk equip. has been replaced with ctx/cix systems) and a null modem cable. the programming is a dos based program and is very easy to do. good luck pm with any questions ill be glad 2 help
