Toshiba CIX40 eManager Error 2147217389

When connecting to CIX40 phone system through eManager v4.20A11 using WinXP Pro laptop and IE6 I receive the following error:

Failed to connect to CIX/CTX, 192.168.1.253 : Undefined error 2147217389

I have not been able to get past this error. Any help on this issue would be GREATLY appreciated!!

After the initial installation of new Toshiba CIX40 phone system our installer has left us high 'n' dry.

Make sure the modem is not being used to connect...

you can do this by "unchecking" the "use dial up" on the connection screen.

"Use Dial-Up" is unchecked. Still getting error.

UPDATE: Fixed it. I didn't have the Monitoring and Management tools installed from WinXP installation disc. Once I installed them I was able to connect immediately.
