CHECK OUT THIS WEBSITE

Hi all,

I wonder if anyone could help me with a problem that's been iritating me
(and indirectly my boss !)...

We have a Toshiba Strata DK40i, with a base KSU and expansion unit (PDKU2
fitted for our stations). Connected to our TMAU2 via the TMOU onboard socket
is a TMOU1D board.

We're trying to utilise the built in Music-on-hold features of the DK40i
system. We've connected our source via the RCA jack, and confimed it is
playing through the system (by keying SPKR #481 and enabling BGM). Using out
20key admin station, I've tried various combinations using the onboard relay
switches (program 77-1, LEDs 1/2/5). When we put callers on hold all we get
is a steady, continuous beep, the same as we've always had since we had the
system installed.

I've even fiddled with Program 19, but this is related to alternative BGM
sources anyway, so was a bit of a long shot. FYI, it's assigned to the
system default, slot 11.

The TMOU1D is jumpered to MOH. MOU doesn't work on hold either. I've
enabled 'Send music-on-hold' by lighting up LED05 in Program 10-2 (which I
believe applies to transferred calls) - but still no joy.

I'd appreciate any help or advice. I've read the manuals from cover to cover
TWICE, and despite my eyes almost falling out, we still can't get it
working.

Thanks in advance,
Antony.

Can't dial specific number

When the system was installed was it initialized the 6 times (Program 91-9)?
I had this problem in the past and initialized and reprogram was the only solve. Program 10-2 LED 5 is the MOH/Ring on transfered call. But MOH should work on calls on hold. Hope you have the system programming on record sheets if so it should only take 10 mins or so to do all the programming. Just make sure you do the 91-9 the 6 times before you program and reset the system when complete to load changes. You may want to try the MOH when system is at default. Dial in put yourself on hold.

DK40i Music on Hold

Hi again,

Glad you mentioned the system programming manual... just had a flick through and realised I'd missed program 10-5 out !

Enabled LED 10 and everythings working.

Thanks for that,
Antony.
