Script help

We had a script set up to automate the answering and routing of incoming calls to different departments - ie 'Press 1 for Reception, Press 2 for Orders etc.... However, when anyone calls and is presented with the options, pressing anything takes them straight back to the start of the options recording with transfering them anywhere.

I've attached a screen grab of how it's set up.

Any ideas?

Cheers

Check the department and see if you have answer with script checked. Also check the system programming and make sure you are going to the correct department (Tenant)

Not sure about this. Looking in emaGEN, in Depratment->Properties I only have one department listed. The 'Start With Script' Day setting is set to the script as shown in the screenshot above - Lunch and Night are both blank.

The numbers that the script sends the call to (301, 302 etc) are set up in eManager as MDN Groups pointing to the relevent station numbers (the MDN Group numbers seem to work as if I dial, for example, 302, all the Orders Department phones ring as expected). The script is transfering 'To Extension...' - is that right? Or should it be transfering to a mailbox??

Cheers

Another thought. There aren't any mailboxes set up in emaGEN for the MDN Groups - should there be?

Thanks

Sorry for the delayed reply. But yes the VM needs a mailbox to complete the transfer.

Thanks.

Done that - now when you select an option all you get is silence...

I've set up Mailboxes for each MDN Group:

Use is set to Extension (setting it to Mailbox doesn't seem to make any difference)
Mailbox Type is set to Message (should it be Script? If so, what should the script do??)

Cheers

Sorry Sean
But I have gone as far as I can go on here. Without knowing what was setup before and messing with Scripts we could do more damage than good, just typing questions and answers. Maybe time to find a local installer with the knowledge and look over their shoulder or get some remote tech support.
