Location: Pueblo, CO Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Telrad newbie Hoping someone around can give me a little insight into this thing. I've been working on switches for awhile and have a pretty good understanding about how things work, but I've never ran across a Telrad and this thing is eating me for lunch. This is a KeyBX SW ver. 6.04. I have only been able to find the pcp ver SBU5.05a (is this a problem?) I've inherited all the programming from the previous owner and have no idea how to default the thing. I can log in and make changes but I'm having a hard time getting the trunks to come up. Previously they were using LCR to route between 2 switches. I changed all the routes to point to my trunk group I made, still I get no love. Use the LCR tester and everything looks good. What is so magical about the loop start trunks? Should I be able to dial the DN of the trunk and get DT? or would that be a no-no because of LCR. Any help would be appreciated!

All the problems I was having with the trunks were caused by this. 2) The fact you can have 2 keysets on 1 ports is pretty cool, especially if your short on feed pairs between buildings. 3) Don't EVER short the external ring ports to ground/external ringer chassis.... unless your game for some sparks and fuse replacement. This should go without saying buy hey, shtuff happens when the insulation on your cross connect runs over something sharp. 4) Other than these oddities, its a pretty straightforward switch. Thanks again for the help! ![]()
