| Anybody producing implementation interested in an indexing p I had a order a few years back at the local Automobile Association. The contact had the bright idea of putting all the executives into the ACD Q for trouble reports, so they could field calls when they were idle. He picked a day they all away at a meeting to do it without their knowledge. The system was a Meridian and I changed all their 2616 sets out for 2216's with headsets, put them in the queue and left. I had a panicky call the following day from the contact (He was a Scotsman who turned bright red when he got mad, a very awkward customer and CHEAP). Seems like they all threw a fit when they came back into the office. I had to put everyhting back the way it was. When I'd finished I wrote up a bill and handed it to him. He took it and said, "Aye what's this laddy?' I said a bill for my services. "But you've nay done anything, its back the way it was, & I don't expect to have to pay for yesterdays work either" He was serious. Worst customers, bar none as far as I'm concerned are Hotels. They are real cheap & expect the switch to be psychic. Been changing out a lot of older Mitels for Avaya's lately and they always get upset when the new switch doesn't do some thing sth eold one did, despite the fact it does many things the old one didn't. |
