NEAX 2000 IPS Operating System

i hear continual pulsations/beats on some of my recorded analog phone lines. these lines were moved to different ports and the problem went away but then the noise came up on other analog lines. when we listen through a phone set on the frame/block, you can hear the pulses. what could be causing this? how did you resolve it?

Almost sounds like message waiting lamp indications.
