Rolm Phone mail Scripts

 lol,

Caller ID isn't necessary, The only thing was we wanted to use the existing phones that they have. I will read up on the 6x16's.
is the 3x8 any good?

I need something that can transfer to off premise extensions and have voicemail? for around 5-600$

Thanks for the advice guys.

the 3x8 is fine but u stated u wanted 4 incomming lines the 3x8 gives 3 lines and 8 phones with caller id built in. neither has vm. but u could just use a anweraring machine or get one of those free voice mails that u can put on your computer. modley uses one at his house he may be able to give u some info.

Looking for the Best Small Office System

oops, your right I did put 4 up there, right now there is 2 incoming lines, but wanted it to be upgradeable to 3 or 4...

Found a common theme when looking at Norstars most of them do not ha Voicemails with them...acutally most of these systems didn't have voicemails..it was very odd, I guess people just use the voicemail that comes with the line? or some other device?...

Happy new year!

yes u normally purchase the vm seperate. the star talk flash lite is probable what u need but they are expensive. what exactly do u want? menues, multiple mail boxes. because many answering machines have multiple mailboxes now. but they will not give the full features of a startalk

Happy new year!

The NEC switch is very good. If you want to grow you may want to step up to the NEC Electra Elite 48. Will a 2 or 4 port voicemail.

The least expensive way would be Centrex.

Good Luck,
Jason

Rix, for what you are looking at right now, I dont know if you need a ksu or centrex for your price range. Buying a system with vmail for under $1000.00.. if you can do that, I'd say go for it, but my guess is, it wont include the phones. If you are going with 2 lines and 4 phones right now, might be cheaper to go with 2 line sets from Radio Shack (I cant believe I just typed that.. aarrgg) and centrex with voicemail. How soon you plan on upgrading to 4 lines will also come in to play.

As for Norstars.. I used to install them as a vendor, and I hated them. I'd hang those KSU's on the wall and walk away, never to see them again. Dont get me wrong, they are great, but as a vendor - bad equipment equals JOB SECURITY I've had a Norstar 3x8 in my house since '94 and narry a problem.

Oh Rix, BTW, regarding the talkswitch..you posted this above:

[The web guy did a great job on that site]

now now, you shouldnt be influenced by the website!!

Happy New Year to everyone!
