I am trying to set up remote call notfication for a Meridian Mail user; the user wants it to dial her digital/numeric pager to alert her of new messages. I can see that the MM is doing the outcalling from it's reports, but no page is being received. I can make it outcall another extension on the pbx by dialing 4 digits and it works fine, so the call schedule, and outcalling seems to be working ok. I know that you may have to include a skip (pause character) in the number to be dialed so that the MM actually dials 9*xxx-xxxx and have experimented with adding 2 of the *'s etc. to no avail. Any ideas would be appreciated

Question about Meridian mail remote notification

You might want to check and make sure the outdial lines are set to Tone dial and not pulse.

More importantly, you might want to make sure that you have the correct NCOS and calss of service on your outdialing lines on Meridian Mail. Sounds like you can dial intenally but not externally.

Your suggestion about checking COS sounds like it could be my problem. how would I do this? when I receive the outcall, it displays an extension that does not seem to be valid, so I'm guessing it's not built like a normal extension.
