Airespace Solidifies Key Partnerships for Voice over Wireless LAN
Following Strategic Agreement with NEC, Airespace Works with SpectraLink and Vocera to Deliver Robust VoWLAN Solutions
San Jose, Calif., October 13, 2003 - Airespace, Inc. today announced several partnerships to facilitate the adoption of Voice over WLAN (VoWLAN) applications in enterprise environments. Following the strategic agreement with NEC Corporation (NASDAQ: NIPNY), Airespace has announced compatibility with SpectraLink (NASDAQ: SLNK) and Vocera, two leading vendors in the VoWLAN space. Through these partnerships, enterprises can capitalize on the cost savings of converged voice and data wireless networks and improve employee productivity through enhanced mobile communications.

NEC
Airespace announced an agreement to deliver an enterprise-class converged voice and data wireless networking solution with NEC in April of this year. As part of this agreement, Airespace's award-winning WLAN platform forms the foundation of NEC's converged data and IP telephony enterprise offering, which also includes an IP-PBX and VoWLAN handsets. Through their agreement, NEC and Airespace are delivering a comprehensive VoWLAN solution that is easy to deploy and reliable enough for business-critical applications.
