| M1 networked to norstar? I bet nobody can top this one: I have a customer that I installed a phone system about a year ago. Do you know that to this day...they are clueless on how to use their NEC/NITSUKO DS2000 system. They also threw all their user guides in the garbage the 2 days after they got the system. I think we should start a topic on the strangist service calls or customers we all have. How about this one. I installed a system up in Englewood, NJ about 6 years ago, in a doctors office. I cust the system over on a Friday and over the weekend the office caught fire and burned to the ground. Mitch Taylor  | ||||||||

Location: Springfield, Illinois Rep Power: 7 ![]() | The Joy Of Vaseline We just cut a system over one thursday night. When we were cleaning up the install and testing everything a storm blew in. Lighting hit the building, we were still there. It took out the voicemail system, alarm sytem and one station card. Scared the hell out if me when the lighting hit, we were in the phone room at the time and it sounded like a bomb went off. Of course the customer blamed it on us. They never had this trouble before, like we control the weather.

I was working on an Air Force base back east and it was raining and lightening pretty bad. So this Ssgt decides he wants to do some wiring in the cust prem MDF. I advised him that that isn't a really good idea. He just blew me off saying, "It's grounded so I shouldn't have any problems" just then there was a BIG cracking sound and you could see a blue arc go across the MDF. Needless to say that he didn't touch the frame for the remainer of the day, did I also forget to metion that he turner white as a sheet  __________________
