Anyone familiar with this old gem?
I'm using EMML. I want to know about OPX (Off Premises extension) or OPS (Off Premises Station).

We have an extension here that when dialed from inside the building, will connect you to a telephone number in another building of ours in another town.

Here's the issue: We dial 9 to get out. Our area code here is (97. It seems some people here are dialing 9 and then a 1 for long distance and then the 978 part of a number. When done quickly, the system thinks they are dialing 9197, which will basically take you outside (the 9) and then to extension 197, which is that remote station in another town.

The problem could be solved if people would just dial more slowly, but short of that, I'd like to change the remote extension number.

Can anyone here tell me where in EMML I can dig into that?

Much thanks in advance!

JohnQ,

suggestion,

If it is only the one extension then advertise that number as a speeddial number, the digit length would be the same.
