| Hipath Vs Aspire Hello everybody! Our company is upgrading it's (not very) old Panasonic system to a new digital PBX. We have 2 providers of dedicated internet and telephony fighting for the contract, but we are having a hard time deciding which is the better choice, so I'll be very thankful if anibody shed a little light on the issue... We have about 30 extensions and will connect an E1 (30 lines, right?). We are growing fast and probably will need IP capabilities as we open new remote branches in the future. Also we use the automatic attendant and voice mail features. So, our providers are offering us 2 choices: a NEC Aspire (I'm afraid I don't have the exact model, but this have max 256 TDM ports and up to 6 digital lines) and a Siemens Hipath 3550 V. 6.0 Our main concern is that the Aspire has built in 10 hour voicemail with 8 channels and 8 channels for automatic attendant, and the Siemens only have 4 channels for AA and 2 for voice mail with a total 2 hours of recording time. Probably both are enough for us, but the Aspire looks pretty powerful... I'm not familiar with any system in particular, but is the decision clear to you or we are right to be confused? Thanks a lot!!! Keiv |
