Cfwd a phone in programming

This past Friday I had the unfortunate opportunity to deal with Verizon. Thank God I had at least a cold 12pack in the fridge 'cause I drank it all to kill the pain.

My business is in Baltimore, MD (410), I want to order a PA number (717) and have it ring on my 410 number until I am up in PA around October. Us technicians know what it is called (Remote Call Forwarding). WWWWEEELLLL....I was first transferred back and forth between MD & PA order takers because none of them knew what the HELL I wanted!!!!! This was started at 12:30PM...

It was then around 1:45 when finally somebody knew what I wanted, the only problem was they wrote up the order as a premise installation, so of course that was wrong...FINALLY at around 2:30, I finally got it handled correctly...IT APPEARS that certain parts of PA were formally GTE and that they were STILL in the process of combining the 2 networks (wasnt this to be done a few years ago??). BELIEVE IT OR NOT I had to place the order with Verizon/Gte in Dallas, TX. I did manage to speak with a real hot southern girl so all was not wasted!!!!

NOW its IDT (my long distance carrier) screwing the order up, its taking a week for access to the number.............

AND I SHOULD SIT BACK AND SEE VERIZON STRIKE........too hell with IBEW/CWA...they 2 unions should he held for treason...........

There I feel better........Comments would be appreciated....BTW check out my website I made some changes... WWW.GetwiredByMitch.com

HAVE A GREAT DAY.........Mitch Taylor

It makes sense that you would have to place the order out of Texas. :shake: , My headaches are normally with AT&T. I think there are a few Verizon workers on this board i.e. gtyoder... maybe he can light a fire under someone to help speed things along?

That link isn't to your "fetish" site again? is it?

I am pulling my hair out with AT&T lately, what has happened to customer service? Usually Verizon is my problem but recently they seem to be working out my issues but not AT&T, I can't even get anyone to talk to me. I think my contract is up SOON!

TEC-TALK or SUNDANCE COMM>

Be careful what you wish for. We wished away Verizon and got a mom-and-pop outfit called CenturyTel. Their service is like an old Johnny Carson description of phone service, akin to a farmer putting a bull in with the cows...and we're the cows. :casstet:
