Knott's Berry Farm, Disney Land, Hunington Beach are all right there within striking distance of the training center. There is a nice Italian restaurant at the end of the building that the training certer is in. I drove out to Venice Beach and Muscle Beach and took in a few very interesting sites on one trip to the West Coast. The last day of class was a short one and I had a very late flight out so I drove up to the begining of Santa Monica Blvd and drove straight out to the peer. That made for some very nice site seeing.

You should definately take a vacation day after your training, and hit the beach/Shopping that sort of stuff... I went to LA last year and really loved it. I wished I spent more time out there.

I was there last year and had to go to one of our remote plants 2 hours east of LA. It was a beautiful ride . you do not see stuff like that in the mid-west or east. You will be in the heart of everything. Rachelle's comments are right on. One thing you will not like is TRAFFIC< TRAFFIC< TRAFFIC... If you can take some extra time and a friend.

La Palma is the best training center...they are good at letting you out early to go sight seeing. Definitely go to Venice Beach and see all the freaks!!!! If you are not staying at the Embassy Suites (Beach Bvd) hook up with someone who is. Free drinks and snacks every night for 2 hours (happy hour).

The Hotel in the parking area of the training center is terabile. I think it it LaCasa. There is a great sports bar across the street from the training center, good food and drinks.

Make sure to take a UPS label or you UPS account number with you to ship back your books. They give you the boxes.
