New Phone System

Hello Everyone,

I'm looking for some help/suggestions. I work for a small company that has 4 traditional telephone lines coming into the office. The office does not have phone jacks so everything needs to be wireless or work over a computer network. I need eight telephone extensions where each person(extension) can access any one of the 4 telephone lines and the ability to transfer a call to another extension.

I currently am using a panasonic kx-tga phone where all 4 lines come into one primary phone and we have 8 handsets for everyone to use. It works great with the exception that the 2.5 mm headset jack makes it hard to hear and be heard by customers. We've tried the MHA-100 to help but it constantly cuts out and doesn't work. I'm also limited to 8 phones and we are hoping to grow.

Any suggestions?

Sincerely,

Bill

If you are going to use Wireless I would certainly think about getting a phone system that offers a Softphone that can be run on the computer or laptop. There are also available from Hitachi the Wireless SIP phones. They look somewhat like the old Nokia phones but work very well. The only problem with them is the battery life is not long at all. You will need to look for a system that offers SIP support to use the wireless phones. The Wireless phones work on 802.11g and higher...

Thanks Bygcland, I'll have to do some more research on the SIP phones from Hitachi. Your suggestion gives me some direction on what to look for.
