Mpeters, there are no stupid questions...

I think your interpretation was correct..

Your 800# is routed to your PBX from your local Telco.

So if you called out from your pbx to your 800# your right it will go out a trunk on your pbx, go to the local telco, they will route it back on another trunk on your pbx back to you.

You> PBX> Trunk> Local Telco > Trunk>Incoming DID on your pbx> Back to You (Or wherever your 800# terminates)
