I have a definity G3r and octel voice messaging. One of my phones voicemail light will not turn off even though he has no voicemail. What can I do to turn it off. I did this once a long time ago and vaguely remember what I did to fix it.

Any help is appreciated.

I'm not sure with Octel, but I know with my Intuities & a voice gate system the command clear amw all XXXX will turn off all current existing message waiting lights. XXXX= the extension that the light will not turn off on.

Set up buttons Message Retreive and Message Delete on your phone. Press the message retrieve button, then press a Next button and type in the extension number of the phone. Then press the Delete message button and it will shut off the light. I have only found this to work on a phone on the same node, you cannot do this over DCS.
