Have I missed something?
A while ago I stumbled across this site and browsed it because it welcomed the poor and ignorant like myself. Since then I have registered and, when I can get my boss to pay, I will get round to subscribing. In the meantime, I try to repay the help I've received by offering what little I can contribute, to others on this site, and elsewhere. And I ALWAYS refer others to your site.
Now Today, I visited your site only to find that I can no longer view the message boards without first logging on. The boards are now only available to registered members.
Is it your intention to force visitors to register in order to find out whether your site is of interest to them? Will this not result in a build up of large numbers of one use registrations? Don't you risk putting off potentially useful members who do not like to subscribe before they have had the opportunity to assess the site?
And will I soon find that I have been de-registered because I'm not subscribing?

Janus the uncertain.

There are a few other boards that don't require any subscriptions but you do need to registar to post, but not to read. I agree with your statement tho.

I am soooooo tired of registering, subscribing, member statements and questions it's funny....but, here we go again. Bottom line is

The site will be here until it's gone
so use it for what ever capacity you want... free or not.If it disappears it's because of lack of support.

I hope the Admin Locks this post.

Let's define a couple of things:
Registered users- Those who have an account o the site and can view and post in the boards, use chat, read news and articles, view classifieds and auctions.

Subscribers (members)- Those who support the site financially. Subscribers can access subjects and downloads, in addition to everything else.

NO, you will never be required to subscribe. Like T said, use it as you want to, it's here. Invest if you want to. The move to force people to register before viewing is in line with many other sites on the web. It's a way for us to see how many people really are using our boards and hopefully they will find it useful and take the next step and subscribe.
Thanks for recommending us to others, Janus. We enjoy the site and hope you do to.

Janus did bring up one good point. New people to the site may not want to register before they have even seen the boards to know how good they are. Perhaps there is a way to make a free tour or a certain amount of free access time before people are required to register.

Hi there !

:casstet: ABabbitt is there another way that one can subscribe without using their credit card on line. I have been burnt not once but twice and have decided not to use my credit on line again. I would like to be a subscriber, plus all visitors should realize how fortunate we are to have this site running. Please let's keep supporting it.

Viva Pbxinfo.com. Viva all Newbies. Please subscribe.

Well.. if you'd like something free, you can start posting the small acd/pbx section on my site (http://www.callcenterforums.net). The acd/pbx section is no where near the quality of this site as the content of my website is geared towards entire call center communities.
