Location: Columbus, Ohio Rep Power: 6 ![]() | Auto FW message to other sites MMail Question 1: We have an Option 11C and I have a supervisor who frequently complains that his phoneset drops calls or the caller cannot hear him - even though he hears them fine. So far, we've swapped out the phoneset three times; replaced the cable on the patch panel and replaced the phone cord between the phoneset and the walljack. The problems continues. Anything else I can try before I call in the maintenance vendor? Question 2: We built a new 3905 ACD phoneset and weren't prompted to input SPID. When we print the TN, SPID = None; how do we insert the SPID? I've always been told you should not modify ACD phonesets so I don't think I should add SPID through chg. Thanks - Have a good one!

Location: WNY Rep Power: 6 ![]() | What is VPN??? C, Question One: Have you replaced the jack? I mean bring in a new jack and repunch the wires, etc. One of them could just be loose. Honestly, when I have these kinds of complaints I try to spend some time with the user until the problem is duplicated in my presence. If it happens "frequently" then you shouldn't have a hard time experiencing it, even if you have to spend an hr at his desk. BUT, if you can't duplicate it. . then it might be a user problem. Is he playing with the cords as he's talking? Is he using a headset? Did he accidentally press the MUTE button? Just some thoughts. I know these things are hard to troubleshoot. We all have these kinds of nagging things and they irritate us. Good Luck with it. Questions Two: I don't know anything about ACD. . sorry.. AB

| How to restrict a phone to internal calls only??? Is it longdistance or local specific? Is he the only user with the problem? I chased my tale for a while on a problem with phone connetion once only to find the problem a lose punch down on the back of the bix blocks coming from the switch. If it's only a longdistance or only a local type thing than look at your cards- we thought we were recieving quite a bit of prank calls one day when calls would come in with the other end not hearing us and us hearing them breathe. Turned out to be a faulty PRI card. | ||||||||

Location: SC Rep Power: 6 ![]() | How to restrict a phone to internal calls only??? Question 1. Is this person using a headset..If so, have you replaced the headset or checked the batteries. Question 2. You are correct...DO NOT make changes to an ACD set. OUT and rebuild if you are going to make a change. Good luck!
