Still alive....

Does anyone know of a voice to text device for the hearing impaired. I have a user that although not completely deaf, has problems understanding anyone on the phone. She says it's not a volume problem but a clarity one. Turning it up louder only causes headaches by the end of the day. She wants a device that she can place the handset (2616D) into and have it translate the callers voice to text. To which she could type a response that would be converted to voice for the caller. Changing to another type phone is a possibility if necessary. She works in the lab admin offices of a large hospital so the "box" would have to be very intelligent.

Norstar_Plus Modular ICS Install

Why not have her dial "711" and use the relay service, if available in your area?

Call pilot Dial by name works when dialed internally only

According to them, this would be too time consuming and they aren't sure about "patient" confidentiality.

Still alive....

The only thing wrong with these types of software is that they have to be trained, and it's always one persons voice.

AM I RIGHT OR AM I WRONG ????

I wasn't real hopeful in finding anything, but wanted to give it a shot.
Thanks
