Call Accounting

I have installed many different packages but in the last 4-5 years it has been Microcall for the most part. The newest version uses SQL and it works fairly well for it's intended use.

It is amazing how many different systems there are and what a wide range of prices. there does seem to be an advantage going with the PBX manufactureres product if offered

Thumbs up Genesis Call Accounting

The software itself is pc based but we have it attached to our network as the system physically resides in our computer room. My pc maps to both our systems so I can access it from my desk. The Genesis system is very easy to use with excellent report selections. You can reach the company at their website for more information at "buygenesis.com" also I should note their service is excellent!

Take care!

I have used RSI Call Accounting Software (Shadow and Telecost) for many years. I recommend it to my customers because they back up the product. I also use Call Accounting Mate for small business customers with a limited budget. For high end stuff, I have tried Avotus and Veramark with varying degrees of success. I would go with RSI (http://www.telecost.com).

As head of telecom/market data finance in a fairly small company we've been using outsourced solutions to perform our call accounting for chargeback purposes, unfortunately the customer support has been not that great if not disasterous at times. But a colleague of mine had hooked us up with a company called Communication Sciences, they have been making many improvements to their product and the support has been a breathe of fresh air as they actually pick up the phone! and really take care a lot of the stuff that I dont have time for.

I sell and use Tapit. Pretty darn easy to make reports and allows exporting of data for further manipulation. Pretty reasonable and works with most systems.
