Beer Goggles

I have a pile of Elevators that I manage, (70+) the phones for, in multiple buildings, I don't know if anything that Exists but I would like to Fire off a Program or Script to dial each of the numbers, make sure they answer within 1-3 rings, and give it basic commands, and record the answers or lack there of in a Text file that I can review, so can review it,
I have a copy of procomm for windows 95 but I'm not sure where to start with Aspect, any Sample Scripts or Pointers would be appricated

opt 11C 25.40 ?

Are you using the Viking elevator phone? They also make a polling box to call the elevator and print out reports. They also have a device that allows you to have more than one elevator per phone line. The device allows each elevator to have its own ID.

If you need help you and PM me.

I don't have enough to setup the Viking Poling device. It should fix many of your elevator telephone issues. Please keep us updated.

Change 3900 series template

Well I got a call Back from Viking and he said it would call the Test line I had setup ok i.e. it answered, but when he gave it a command to get the phone ID I.E. "who are you" it gave back 14 digits and his system was set for 10 or Less, the system documentation says it spits back 6, so I would have to say it does not seemd like it,
he "seemed to indicate" the Software was Peticular to the Viking units

In the mean time I found the Web site softcab.com which has a number of Tapi programs, I am going to look at but alas it looks like most of them need a "Voice modem" and all the ones I have a Data/Fax, so yet another Hardware upgrade!!
I will keep you updated

D Channel Maint Indication

after talking to the talkaphone rep they sent me a "Demo disk" of the full version software that was $2K plus, the package has a Sub Section called "Poller" in the telephone preferances Section and that appears to be functional on the "Demo Disk" I can also say that the user manual is definately less then Helpful, it was basically alot of Trial and Error,

PRI over Ethernet?

Are you using the software to poll each cab and wait for its id number then go to the next number?

What type of interface, does it do more then one line at a time?

What does BLOCK_PTR mean???

yes the software calls Each Elevator Cab indivually, and gets the "phone ID" from the Unit, hangs up and continues with the next one. each call takes about 1 minute But with the "Demo" Te Results are Seem to be Erratic. I have the software installed on my Laptop, my laptop is running win98SE, pardon me why I get on my "Soap Box" It would "seem" to me at least if you are even going to put out a Demo Software you would want it of Whatever, you would do the following, A: make Idiot proof directions, B: make it work fully & consitantly for either 30 Days or 30 lines, :casstet:
