Have you read Procomms Help File.
I use Procomm Plus 32. Which has a help topic: Procomm Plus ASPECT script refernce.
I have only written myself but this is a good place for you to start and learn.

shure did, but coding is not my game. I need to set up a loop with a counter that gos from 0000 to 9999 until it gets another answer then stop and print the number is stopped at.

I can help with the counter thing

PM me with yiour email address and I will send you one of my scripts.

It will have the logic needed to understand how to loop a program around again

I tried to PM you, but nothing. I need to have a number in a loop that is tring 0000-9999 when the correct number is entered then it stops and prints the last number tried. I could go into more detail, but I think it should not be done here. PM me if you can help me.

Just out of curiosity, Is this a 200D? If it is, remember that the terminal password, if set from a laptop or a DTE can be alpha-numeric. So in theory it could have letters in it too.
just a suggestion.

your correct, but If you set a alph password you can't log into the console.

If the installer password is alpha the maint1 or maint2 should in numbers

Do you have an idea?

no ideas as of yet, just trying to help make sure all the bases are covered. Didn't know if you knew the pw could have alpha in it too.
