Outcalling Schedule

We're runnning a ROLM 9751 model 10, and are having some problems with outcalling schedules. We can configure them correctly and have them work, if we have local numbers configured. If any number requires a "1" to call, before the area code, we get a system error on the mailbox when you call in. Is there something we can configure to change what numbers can be called by the mailbox for voicemail notifications? Or is this just out of the question?

Have you verified your COS on the voicemail ports have long distance capabilities and that you are inserting your trunk access in the outcalling dialing string?
