10MegaPixel Camera Phone

Sweet!

Live from CeBIT: Samsung's SCH-B600 10 megapixel cameraphone

Ever hold a ten megapixel cameraphone? Naw, neither had we, not until today anyway. Straight from the floor at CeBIT, we've got the Samsung SCH-B600 with an integrated 10 megapixel shooter. It's never gonna come anywhere close to the US or Europe so nuzzle up to your monitor real close-like and take in this beauty.

3x optical zoom on a phone . I can't help but think that they're going to need to put a large battery (and a very good charging facility) to be able to power a flash on a camera phone!

How many more mega pixels do we need?

A co-worker has a new high end Sony camera... this thing takes pictures that are 10 megabytes in file size and he wonders why he has a hard time emailing them to people.

Personally I use a 4 MP camera and that's good enough for me to print pictures at 8" x 12" so I'm happy with that. A professional photographer friend has a 12 MP camera but still prefers to use his film camera. Each to their own I suppose.

I use a 3 MP camera and it is even good enough to print the 8 x 12 pics with out seeing the dots. Keeps me happy.

I would assume the professionals that like to blow things up for bill boards (not blow things up for fun like Slag ) and such would want a much more detailed original but for the casual users why spend the extra $$
