Hello all!

Great site. Hope to help where I can and learn more.

I have done tactical switching for the Army, and recently moved to the commercial side and work with SL-100s, seven facilities, not too bad.

I also have the blessed responsability of QA/QC. So if you need to know if the overhead light dispursion in your work area will hinder your performance or what size copper 2 hole long barrel lug your MDF verticals should be grounded with feel free to ask.

Other than that I am just your everyday geek. See you around.

MSE? DGM? I know on this board Sigdog and I both came from the Army working on that stuff.

MSE, I worked a Node Center for 2 years. I miss it. Learned a lot, but now they have me working with Meridian 1 Option 211 & 201.

Currently I am in the DSM SL-100 Basic Maintenance Course and what a relief. I have been married to Helmsman. It was my only source for answers.

Fortunitly I have been doing all the QC/QA stuff so I know all my switches in and out but it really sucks bashing away at the MAP with a list of procedures and not understanding how or why it works.

Two years at Fort Bliss, Texas, 6 months at Camp Udauri, Kuwait and now at Yongsan, S. Korea until January.

Also, here's a good noob question... Does anyone know if the "portalMessenger" thing requires open ports through a firewall?

Good ole Yongsan... I did 18 months down the road at Camp Colbern back in 1998.. many fond memories (some of which have been posted on this site) from those days.

Interesting choice... are you on the Armys screw you program where they try to force you re-enlist or are they at stop loss right now?
