It's not that kind of headset or phone, it doesnt have an amp, it just connects straight to the phone itself. See pictures above (if you can). Send me an email and I will email back the pictures I took. gus@comstor.co.uk

Cheers

Gus

Due to my extensive connections in the UK (Ha! Ha ! Ha!) I have a manual outlining the basic programming of an M3820. Here it is (please not the last line - you may want to check programming on Key 15 - if it is NUL then that might be your problem):

> LD11
REQ NEW
TYPE 2616
DES M3820 (Enter appropriate set identifier)
CLS HFA (HFD) Hanssfree Allowed or (Denied)
AHA Automatic Hold Allowed
DNDD Dialled Name Display Denied
CNDA Call Party Name Display Allowed
CNIA Call Number Information Allowed
LNA Last Number Redial Allowed
KEY 01 NUL Kes 01 programmed as NUL.
If Hands free is denied then Key 15 is also programmed as NUL.

software releast to use 3900 series phones?

just to add my two cents that those headset plugs on the opt 3820 set doesnt work well any way. i have found that setting it up the old way, using the handset cord to the headset and taking the handset off hook and using the rls btn to hang up has worked for me in the pass. :P
