If you had Symposium, you could send everything from that NPA-NXX to a MM or Call Pilot IVR intercept, "Thank you for calling, please wait for the next available agent", then a 15-30 second musical interlude (let's eat up a few more pennies of the possible telesleze's money and time) then, "Press " 4-5 random digits" to be connected to " whomever the call would normally go to.

This would save you some time by getting the whole NXX and take care of any legit calls.
