The IP capabilties rate high with the Nortel and AVAYA and Cisco. The new version of the IP card can use Cisco phones if used under the SIP protocol..... We have the Tadiran product in many different configuations and it works very well. Straight IP, IP and Digital, IP digital and hospitality. You name it we've done it with the Tadiran......

1. The official Tadiran website is tadirantele . com which is an international page and also has a link on the top right for the US market which goes to tadiran-us . com (had to do this cos it won't let me post hyperlinks yet!!)
2. I was installing Corals in New Zealand and then worked for the importer of Tadiran systems in Australia as 3rd level support to dealer engineers as well as installing them for government departments directly so if you have any technical questions then I should be able to help
3. The Coral is one of the easiest and best systems I've worked on over the last 10 years. It's so easy to learn, I taught myself by reading the books and trying stuff. The PI (Programming Interface) is in English so it's easy to move around. To get to Group setup simply type GROUP (or more specifically HUNT or PICKUP). It's logically arrange in menus so once you go to GROUP it will list the types of groups. It can also be accessed by numbers so once you know it you can type things like 0,0,7 which will get you to DDI (or DID depending on where you come from) programming.

Hope this helps.

Cheers

I did find a manual and have started to slowly piece things together. It's a very different platform than what I am used to, so that's been my slowdown with it. I have however (with the help of this forum) started to piece things together.

Thanks again!!

I just started as the telecomm admin for a company that has a coral 4000. I worked mostly with Cisco, Iwatsu and Nortel equipment. They don't have any pdf's on the system or any info. Is there a link that has a pdf such as a admin's guide or something, I went to tadiran's site and couldn't find anything more than a product pdf.
Thanks Marc

Hi Marc, I've sent you a PM about the manuals. I assume you're in the US and have an IPx 4000 (or is it a typo and is a FlexiCom 400). Either way, the programming is the same. Reply to my PM and I can help you out.

Cheers

Depending on whether you have CVA or CVD will help.

If you have CVA, you are really limited on what you can do with the system. You can't ADD, or delete extensions, boss groups etc....

If you have CVD then you should be able to do just about everything. Just food for thought. If you use CVD, try not to use the command line at the same time or do changes around the same time. I have seen where it can cause some issues. I had a customer that used CVD, didnt see the change in the command line so he made the change that way. Seemed to lose a lot of programming. let me know what version installation and maintenance PDF you need I may be able to send it to you.
