Question How To Configure 30T Card to E1-LineSide

Guys, Need your help. I tried to integrate a coral Pabx to a nortel IVRS using a 30T (E1) card. The protocol use in IVRS is E1-line side. When i try to connect the two equipment. The IVRS is not receiving any signal from the PABX. I already check the cable and it has no problem. I think there is a config that i am miss out.

Well, depending on how old your Coral is will be the key on getting this correctly configured. The older systems only use D4 AMI is the T-1 line coding an protocol. The newer systems version 14.XX and higher can user ESF B8ZS.. I've never heard of IVRS protocol... Sounds proprietary to Nortel....

Its not really a proprietary thing from nortel, Ive seen this IVR worked on an Avaya, Panasonic and Nortel PABX. So i think it should also work with Tadiran Pabx. I alreay got some configs on how to make this work. Ill update you next week. Thanks.

Ok. So this IVR is manufactured by Nortel. If it thru a t-1 then it should work with the Coral just as long as either one of the two protocols are used depending on the version software and the type of T-1 card in the Coral.

hello, i was unsuccessful in making it work. i only made the IVR answer but the call was drop by the PABX after a few seconds. Maybe it has something to do with the software version. Im waiting for the new cabinet arriving next month. I'll try to integrate it again. By the way we are using an E1.

hello guys, i continued in resolving this problem and had some updates, it was now answering but i think the protocol is still has some problem becuase they Nortel and Coral doesn't disconnect properly. Does anybody knows how to make the E1 in Coral set as MELCAS protocol?
