Location: Melbourne Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Message Wait light problem I have a problem on a numbers of systems that external voicemails attached to them using in band signalling. The extns get the message waiting light set by the voicemail. The user then retrieves the message from the voicemail. The voicemail then sends the message waiting cancel code, but the extn light does not go out. I have tried all dial codes possible to cancel the stuck lights but no joy. I use to have a procedure written down on how to find the memory area associated for the extn and how to overwrite the data to clear the stuck message wait light, but have misplaced it office move. I hope someone can help as, I have to do ascii save and reload of the system to clear the stuck lights and on a 2000 port system this is a real problem. Many thanks. Jeff

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | JH, What do refer as "in band sig" - DTMF ? Is it SLT VM ? Probably the external VM was leasving the MWI from its station number and not the VM group number (Hunt VM). Thus one station left the MWI and another is tryong to cancle it. You can always use in the stattion the MWI cancalation code ( 175 #0 ) ![]()

Location: Melbourne Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Hi jex68, sounds like another user has activated MWI on this user not VM. Dial 175 and it'll show you on the screen who left the msg and use 10 to cancel. As riman says, it could be an attend msg which will show in FEAT (normal msg doesn't but this can be found through viewing tables but you'll need to contact Tadiran to find out the exact details if needed). I used to work for Fuj in Oz but now ACC look after support. The guys there are pretty good for support. As for stopping this from happening, make the VM ports have a COS that allows setting MWI but disable it from all other COS.

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Here's the deal. #175 or in older software 175 + ext number. To cancel from the extension that sent it is #1440 + ext or 1440 + ext. You should give the SLT ports OR apdl attendant COS so that it can turn msg waiting on and off regardless of port. Attendant msg waiting codes are irrelevant if the ekt field is set to ATT=Y as is assumes attendant functionality. Hope this helps, Coral Tech

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | message waiting indicator We have a Tadiran Coral III. I need to know how to cancel the message waiting indicator on an SLT from a phone that did not send the message, or from the SLT itself. I tried it from an Attendant phone (1440-ext#) but the display tells me that its lllegal. Don't know what station sent the message originally. There have been other posts on this subject, but none seems to be "it."
