SIP phones with Tadiran

Iam trying to use SIP IP phones with Tadiran. The phones are getting registered and working but call transfer is not working. What could be the reason? Can someone help?
These SIP phones are working with other SIP servers and call transfer is not working only with Tadiran..

If you're using the Blind Transfer feature then it is not supported on the IPx/FlexiCom range, only the Sea Softswitch. On the IPx/FlexiCom systems you can only use Supervised Transfer.

I found on one phone that pressing the Transfer button initiates a Blind Transfer ie press, dial, hangup with no option to announce the call. This is not supported on the IPx/FlexiCom. On that phone I needed to press Conf, dial, Transfer.

I was at Tadiran a few weeks ago and tested and found out that this isn't a supported feature. I'm not sure why but it's not. The Sea Softswitch does support it though.

Altough it's written in the SIP RFC's to work like this I really don't like the Blind Transfer feature. Why would anyone want to do that? For decades all phones have worked with a Transfer button doing both blind & supervised transfers so why change it now??

I'll try and find out from Tadiran why it isn't a supported feature.

How do you get these Grandstream phones to register? I just picked one up for testing, and can get it to pick up an IP address via DHCP, but can't get the phone system to see it. Bear in mind that I'm VERY new working with PBXs. I have a Coral Flexicom 200 system, I believe.

It depends on what version software you are running. It has to be version 15.6 or higher. I don't think the Flexicom 200 is supported after version 14...

Quite right, the FlexiCom 200 doesn't support v15 which is required for SIP. It will support MGCP on v14 but if you want SIP you need to upgrade.

The FlexiCom 200 was discontinued a few years back. The simple option is to replace the cabinet with an IPx 500 and you can take most of the cards from the 200 (slots 1-3 ie trunk cards) to the IPx. The new processor on the IPx 500 supports v15. I assume you have a UGW card in the 200??? You'll probably need to upgrade it's firmware too to support SIP.
