Just had a thought that might weed out the bad from the good, if say you have a problem with your telephone system and posted as usual in the right forum, can I suggest that person would give you the info that it is required like system type, version number etc before he states the problem.

I think we can then be more helpful as sometimes the problem is not with the telephone or voicemail but with the version of software installed on your system.

We can create that on a per forum basis, We could let them use a drop down to select their system before they post.
So they would have to choose what kind of system they have when they are posting...What forum could we use as a test forum for this?

Other forums I've been to have used the signature to specify their systems. I don't know if that's any easier for you Rick?

That would be a good idea if you only worked on one or owned your telephone system but what happens with a field support engineer, multiple signatures?

What I am trying to say is create a standard way of reporting a problem/issue with the system that they are working on. This makes it easier to identify and rectify quicker if where possible because you know the make, model and software version. As you might be aware that certain software version upgrades might solve the problem that they are having.
