Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Hi, I have a ROLM PhoneMail 6.4 system connected to a HiPath 3000 switch with OptiPoint 500 phones. We had an issue with our T1 which required a restart of the switch. Since that time the Voice Mail Indicator (VMI) lamps are not functioning properly. This happened a couple of years ago a I fixed it by logging into the PhoneMail console as "tech" and doing something but I cannot remember exactly what. I don't want to break anything and I'm not familiar enough with PhoneMail that I feel comfotable just poking around. I get to here: ------------------------------ Login: tech Password: ***** ... Action: connect Screen 1 - SVI on Node 1 is now active. Node 1 - SVI> ------------------------------------ and don't know where to go from there. Can anyone help? | ||||||||

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | When it was fixed before i believe that it went something like this: Node 1 - SVI>DownPhoneMail ... Node 1 - SVI>FixUpDatabase ... Node 1 - SVI>UpPhoneMail ... Node 1 - SVI>UpDateCBXMWI Is that correct? I don't want to break anything here and if i can avoid taking down the PhoneMail system that would be preferable since it is the front end to our business call center. Thanks for any help! | ||||||||

Location: MIAMI, FLA Rep Power: 10 ![]() | That will work, while you have it down do a FIXVOICEFILE. It never hurts, it may take a short time or it may take awhile. Especially if you do not PURGE a mailbox before you DELETE it.
