Rolm Phonemail 7655 se hard drive capacity

Hi Folks

We are using an ROLM Phonemail 7655SE sytem version 6.2.
The system is always reproting that it is full so we are trying to increase
the size of the hard drive.

The current drive is 1GB and we have a 10GB drive from around the same period that we are hoping to use.

We have used some disc copying software to copy the image of the original drive to the new drive but it does not recognise the new drive size.

We do not have any software with the machine but after reading some other threads realise we probably need something could "disktool" to format the drive

Any suggestions/help very much appreciated

thanks - Martyn

I CAN'T TAKE CREDIT FOR THIS BUT IT'S YOURS
Take your IPL disks and look at them on your A: drive on your computer. There is a folder/file called diskmaster. Here is the fun part. Rename the resetpassword file something else (doesn't matter what) and rename the diskmasterl file ResetPassword (rename it exactly how it was named on the IPL). Next, reboot the phonemail and enter the ROM command mode (p/w = techtest) Enter B to boot and choose to Boot from Floppy. When login prompt comes up, login and enter ?. Choose Resetpassword and baddabing baddaboom, you will access the Diskmaster. You will be able to format hard drives there.

Hi

Thanks for your reply but I dont have any IPL discs.

I can access the system using a laptop plugged into the modem port of the voicmail PC and make a backup but does this help ?

Is there any way to get the files/programs and make a disc ?

regards

Martyn
