change IP address on Hicom 150

Ok I've got a little Hicom 150 with a HG1500, it’s been running great. We use 3000 manager E to make changes so we have the system on the network just to get at it without having to use dial up. We changed the network to that building and we’re having no luck at putting a new IP on the HG1500. As soon as we try to start a hyper terminal while directly connected it jus locks up and won’t let us make any changes. Has anyone run into this before? Is there something I’m missing?

Just to clarify this is a V2 and in order to direct connect we have to use the DIM cable.
We’ve been unable to get to the Manager it just times out it seems we’ve been able to change that address but not the one on the card, if that makes any sense.

What address have you on the computer it has to be on the old network address and sub mask

To do it through the serial connection you have to set a dial up network as a 9600 standard modem and the dial no is 1 the ip address will be the old on assigned if you dont know it you will have trouble to get on.

If it was working on old ip address they with a pc and a crossover cable direct to lan port of the hg 1500 card you should be able to get on to it with the manager I and set it to new range

I can e-mail you the admin pdf if it helps

I have the address that it was working on before but when I plug in the manager won’t connect says wrong IP. Was there a default IP that was on the system from Siemens like it’s own LAN like on the 4k

the default is 1.0.0.1 on the system or the hg 1500 default is 10.144.233.63

while connected to the lan ,try at the dos command c:\>arp -a

It it should show the ip address on the card to mac address, match it to the hg 1500 card sticker.

if you have the mac adderss you could also try to change the ip address via the mac address

c:\>arp -s 192.168.1.1 02-60-8c-f1-3e-6b
using the ip you want to use and the mac address that is on the hg 1500 card
