Serial RS232 ports on Phonemail 7652

Can anyone explain how to activate (if it's possible) the other (2) 25 pin RS232 ports on the back of the Phonemail system?

One is for the maintenance terminal and one is for the Tap link.

I can't seem to get the other two to respond.

And, since I couldn't get the other two ports working, I've used the modem card's straight through wiring RS232 to communicate remotely, it's locked in at 1200 Baud. Can I bump this baud rate up at all?

I have a serial to IP converter that works pretty good, just need some help on the serial outputs.

Thanks

Release 6.4, tower type box, 16 Channel, 2 HD.

There are a total of (4) RS232 hard wired connectors on the back for Sys Admin and Tap link serial connections. Also has an internal modem card that has another RS232 25 pin connection (that I have to use because other ports won't come up, but I'm stuck at 1200 Baud).

I just can't remember if the serial ports have to be turned on through System Parameters, or if they are not even able to be modified.

Thanks for the reply. OK, I understand the utility in ConfigPhonemail, but what do you mean by The Switches?

I can't remember either, does Phonemail have to be deactivated and activated for configPhonemail changes?

Thanks again.
