Hello:

I am new to the rolm world....have worked with avaya and intertel..but at my new job they have an old rolm 9200...I have finally found the emma software and have it installed on my laptop and am connecting with a modem cable to the switch... but when i try and connect to the switch it is telling me the system is unavailable for login...I have the correct password. Can someone please assist me with what I need to do to setup emma to enable me to login...

I know you need a null adapter on your cable - try that first. Are you sure you're connecting to the right cable from the CBX ? If it is a small 9200 (1 cell) then you plug into the cable that goes to the modem. If it is a larger system trace the cable from the modem to the back of the CBX - there should be two cables going to the same spot in the back. The other cable is the com cable. If all else fails you will have to reset the CBX - the port may just be locked up.

First of all...thanks for your help...i am connecting my laptop to the same cable as the siemens tech that has been serviceing the unit...so i know it is the proper cable...it is even labeled emma. I am using a modem cable...the help i need is with the setup of the emma software so it will talk to the switch. I have read/been told that you have to setup the emma software first and below is the i found the help for the Setup in the bsc interface...when I try to set the spcldev setting no = 1 it errors out. I do not know a whole lot about the switch...this is my first rolm...I have only managed avayas and intertels...thanks for any help you can give me.

I am in...but does anyone know of how I can print out the list of subscribers/extensions????

There is a program called emma reporter that will print out the sation, trunking, speed dial,all numbers in switch. Works great. use it on all my 9200 accounts.

And just where can I get this Emma Reporter??? I have the emma setup disks. Is it part of that or something extra I have to purchase??
