How one can run a Q.931 debug on a ISDN PRI/BRI (or other side - s2/s0) interface of Siemens and then get the output in a readable format ? or at least to see the active calls. Nowehere in Hicom docs this is mentioned  | ||||||||

You can use the AMO BUEND if yuo know the trunk group number. Then use the AMO SDSU DIS-SDSU:ALL,,PEN,PER3,LTG,LTU,SLOT; (Don't put the CCT. in) THis should list out all of your B-channels and their status. READY/ACTIVE/NOT CONNECTED. Are you looking at individual calls or status of your ISDN? | ||||||||

Location: Sofia, Bulgaria Rep Power: 4 | No, actually I am trying to run a debug, or what SIemens calll - "a call trace". This is achieved by using the TRACS AMO. There you define your debug/trace criteria and then get the output. However the output is just a list of HEX values that has to be managed by a "reader" to visualise the debug output in a human-readable forum. Nevermind, I was lucky to find the ISDN-visu tool after a lot of efforts and to learn how to run traces. It is really a great help to be able to see what is going on indeed "inside"  | ||||||||

Regarding WinVisu - I was searching for it on the Net for months !!! Nowehere even a single sign. First I had no idea how to read the output, then after a month I found out what the utility name is, and after two months searching like crazy and asking people, I managed to get a program from a russian guy. I hate Siemens for their closed documentation policy. Also I have looked at their HG1500 H.323 VoIP module -a total crap. These guys have to quit their telecomm business, they are just "NT - Not there". Look at the Nortel Martra PBX and you will never go back to this Siemens crap. I wish they go bankrupt for all the headaches they have caused me !!! | ||||||||

I have 2 or 3 Siemens Techs I can ask questions of and get the right answers or they will endeavour to help me. I also have most of the software and latest Doco on a Siemens issued CD, given to me by a Siemens Tech. I wouldn't touch the 1500 VoIP module but will be looking at upgrading our Hicom 300 to a HiPath 4000. Maybe I have just been lucky with having a good working relationship with the Techs as we have a 24/7 support contract. | ||||||||
