Smile Help with Partner Mail Release 5

Good Evening All,

I have Partner Mail VS Release 5, we have it set so that the automated attendant answers all calls then a person can choose the extension to transfer to. I changed the greeting message but now when people call in it gives them the greeting but when they push the extension it says "invalid entry", but if they push 0 it will go to the operator. I'm not that experienced but must have changed something when I changed the message. Help, any help would be appreciated!!!!!!!

Thank you

When your in AA try pressing *8 and then the EXT. If this goes through then you may have recorded a submenu as your AA greeting.

Try pressin *8 when your listening to the AA. You may have replaced the AA with a submenu.
Hope that helps

Try to re-record the AA. This may over ride the sub- menu . However you need to get rid of the sub. When you first log in listen to the prompts very carefully. If you still need help let me know Ill search for the doc.

When you're recording the greeting, the first thing it says is "please enter a selector code from 1 to 9, or if finished press *#" - this is where you set up when you press a single digit, it transfers to a specific extesion. But the Selector Codes that match the 1st digit of your extensions must be set to "Direct Extension Transfer", so it knows to wait for the 2nd digit and then transfer there.

You probably accidently erased your selector code No. 1 when you redid the greeting, disabling it so you can't transfer to extensions from 10 to 19

Log back in, go to modify the menu, press 1 and see if it is disabled. If so, press 9 to change, and 5 for Direct Extension Transfer. Then *# because you don't want to change any other codes, and # again to keep the recording you already made
