any recommendations for a vm system other then the vs or partner mail????

Don't know how big on Vodavi you are, but you can integrate the Analog Dispatch to it. Even tells you how in the Dispatch documentation. Personally, I haven't had the opportunity to interface one to a Partner yet, but as a whole, the Dispatch has been a pretty decent mail for me...not to mention one of the most flexible that Ive ever seen as well.

CP 2.0 - DSPs hung in Active state

Of course, as an Avaya BusinessPartner we only use the various Partner mail units. Guess you'd need to check these competing units to see how they connect and if they are going to waste facilities like the old Voysys that busies 2 lines until the call is completed.

Why don't you want to use the Partner Messaging? Maybe I can help if it's an application issue.
